USS DEVASTATOR is the sixth of the fourteen AVENGER class Mine Countermeasures Ships and the second ship in the Navy to bear the name. In mid-2012, the DEVASTATOR arrived at Manama, Bahrain aboard the MV TERN changing her homeport from San Diego to Bahrain.

March 14, 2019 | Naval Support Activity Bahrain | A fire breaks out aboard USS DEVASTATOR at approx 8 p.m. local while the ship is pierside at NSA Bahrain. Sailors aboard DEVASTATOR and from USS SENTRY (MCM 3), USS GLADIATOR (MCM 11), USS DEXTROUS (MCM 13), and USS WHIRLWIND (PC 11), as well as the NSA Bahrain Fire Department, responded to the fire. The fire was declared out at approx. 9 p.m. No personnel injuries were reported. |
