|Eugene J Schmidt||Aug 10, 2020||Charlotte, NC Crowne Plaza Hotel||Some info about the USS ESSEX CV/CVA/CVS-9/LHD-2 Association reunions. Go to our website www.ussessexassociation.com . All the reunion info is on there. It has complete information regarding the tours, registration and costs. The reunion is a week long affair, but can be broken up as you need, a day, two days, whatever. Some people decide on what days to attend based on the events happening each day. I usually go for the whole week. Most every reunion I've attended has been in a place I've never been before so it gives me a great opportunity to enjoy a new setting. Wives are especially welcome as are other family members as guests, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters etc. EVERY DAY - you can check in to the registration table and pick up your stuff and tour packets, the HOSPITALITY ROOM / BAR is open, the memorabilia room is open, the ships store is open. More info - http://www.ussessexassociation.com/ look for the latest newsletter, the Buccaneer. All the info for the reunion is in there, plus more. There is a new member application form on the website. It is for anyone that ever served aboard ESSEX CV9, CVA9, CVS9, or LHD-2. If you are a son or daughter of an ESSEX man, you can become a full member, other relatives can become an associate member. Please contact me if you need more info. Sure would be great to meet you at the reunion. Gene Schmidt Assistant Treasurer USS ESSEX CV/CVA/CVS-9/LHD-2 Association 616-534-7170 3823 Wyoming Ave S W Wyoming MI 49519-3659|
