Named after the city of Buffalo, NY, USS BUFFALO was the 28th LOS ANGELES - class nuclear-powered attack submarine. On May 1, 2017, BUFFALO departed her homeport Pearl Harbor, Hi., enroute to Bremerton, Wash, to commence her year-long inactivation process. She was inactivated on September 30, 2017.
