The photos below were taken by me and show the MISSION SANTA YNEZ laid-up at Suisun Bay, Calif., on March 27, 2010. At the time the photos were taken, the ship was the last remaining T-2 tanker built during World War II. Laid-up at Suisun Bay since March 6, 1975, the MISSION SANTA YNEZ was sold for scrapping to ESCO Marine at Brownsville, TX., on January 15, 2010. The ship was towed from Suisun Bay to the BAE Shipyard at South San Francisco for clean-up on March 31, 2010, before towed to Brownsville for scrapping.
