Muldowney, PaulUSS Joseph Strauss (DDG 16)MMFN-MM3Main ControlJul 21, 1979 – Jan 11, 1983I was fresh out of A-school. This was my first Ship that I had requested to serve on, and I have to say as a single Sailor, it was not a comfortable one to live on. But just the same, was very very proud to have been a member of the crew.
Muldowney, PaulUSS Sterett (CG 31)MM3-MM2Main ControlFeb 5, 1983 – Oct 23, 1984I was directed to maintain the Gage Calibration & Supply requistion as collateral duty for Main Control; and I enjoyed it. It was a short but intense tour, homported in the Philippines. What fun we had on liberty.

But alas, my own fault, for I had specifically requested this Command because of the previous training I acquired operating Centrifugal Compressors. This was a fun and easy tour of duty for me.
Muldowney, PaulUSS Camden (AOE 2)MM1Propulsion-1Nov 1, 1997 – Jan 31, 1999This was my twilight tour and the crew knew it.
