Wise, JoshuaUSS Fitzgerald (DDG 62)CTT2OTMay 2004 – Oct 2006Definitely the one of the worst commands in the worst fleet in the U.S. Navy. Some blame for 7th Fleet, however the anti-intellectualism combined with the self defeatist disdainful attitudes towards the crew was absurd.
Wise, JoshuaUSS O'Brien (DD 975)CTT2OWOct 2003 – May 2004This was a fine ship. Impressively war ready long past its necessity. I watched it pull into San Diego a ship ready for war, and within days become a floating barge during decom.
Wise, JoshuaUSS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76)CTT2OPSNov 2006 – Jan 2008Came aboard to a division full of plankowners, who loved that ship. Comfortable in their abilities and trusting of their sailors to get the job done. It was as the Navy should be. Never had so much respect for shipmates.
