Gishey, MarioUSS Cape Cod (AD 43)HT3R-1Feb 15, 1991 – Aug 15, 1995I recently visited the decommissioned "Cape Cod" in the shipyard in Portsmouth, VA. It has brought back some very vibrant memories of the crew that I so proudly served with. To the crew of the Cape Cod: "Thanks for the memories!"

Gisiner, Frank profile iconUSS Carter Hall (LSD 50)NC1(SW)NAVADMINJan 12, 2003 – Jan 26, 2005My tour in Carter Hall was interesting to me. Having previously served aboard two Destroyers, the AMPHIB community took some getting used to. I enjoyed my Navy career and would do it all over again... a little different, but again.
Gisiner, Frank profile iconUSS Platte (AO 186)FC2(SW)CSOct 15, 1986 – Dec 20, 1990Platte was my first of 4 ships and it was fantastic. Daily clamp-down of the 02 levels, painting handrails in the snow, Vinnie's incessant attention to detail for the foward and aft shops and CIWS mounts. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
