|List, William J. (Bill)||ACMM1||Jan 8, 1942 – Dec 22, 1945||Scouting Squadron #9||Bill List served for the duration of WWII as an Aviation Machinist Mate. Following the war, he entered the reserves, retiring as Chief in 1976. Bill died in 1980.|
|Leblanc, Richard||PFC||Feb 1942 – 1946||I don't know||My father was Richard E. LeBlanc. He was a gunner on the USS Monterey and served under Lieutenant Ford. He signed up for the Navy December 8, 1941 to fight for his country. He did well for our country. Passed in 1996.|

|Bostic, Jesse||E-5 AO2||1950 – 1952||aviation||Dad loved his time in the Navy and spoke of the USS Monterey with a lot of pride. He passed away in Feb 1994 at the age 0f 66. The story that I remember most was the dropping of a bomb onto an ice berg.|
