Melvin, Bertram (Buddy)1943 – 1945I was the lookout on the "witch" that spotted a torpedo coming at her off of Okinawa. The shipped turned and the torpedo missed her. That was a scarey time for all of us. The Wichita was also the first ship into Nagasaki harbor.
