Heading: Social Media Links added

Social Media Links have been added to the Crew List main page and the Command Lists. This means that you now can recommend those sites to your friends on facebook, twitter and google+. To enhance your privacy, this system uses 2 click buttons. The first click activates the button and the second click does the actual sharing.

New messaging system

Heading: New messaging system

The messaging system has been reworked. It now stores all messages sent within the Crew List. This also includes reunion messages. Another change is that we decided to switch to notification emails. This means that you will be notified that someone sent you a message, instead of receiving the actual message. This will lead to a smaller number of messages filtered out by content aware email filters.

Command Message Boards

Heading: Command Message Boards

Each Crew List now has an own Message Board. These Message Boards can be found below the respective Lists and are visible to logged-in users only. Posting is only enabled for registered users. We have also added a new tab to your user account that includes all message board threads that were posted for the commands you registered for. Additionally, you can watch any topic in your user account separately. The idea behind the message boards is to give you a more prominent place to address issues around the command like looking for a certain cruise book or crew member etc.

Major Crew List Update

Heading: Major Crew List Update

We just completed a major update of the Crew List. Our main goal was to make it more user-friendly but we also added several new features. These features include privacy settings allowing you to make some of your information only available to registered members for example. Additionally, we introduced the buddy notifiers. That's a feature in the user account that allows you to select if you like to receive an email notification for all new users registering for your command(s) and matching your period. You can also set up additional notifiers for commands for which you did not set up an own entry. That means that you can specify a command and a period and you will be informned about every new registration that matches your criteria.

Problems with ISPs fixed

Heading: Problems with ISPs fixed

Recently, we had some major problems with various e-mail providers that were blocking e-mails from the Crew List. The problem included e-mails from shipmates, password requests and activation e-mails. The affected providers were mainly sbcglobal, bellsouth and att.net These problems are solved now and messages will be sent to the respective receivers properly.
Please note that no messages were lost. Messages from shipmates are always sent to the e-mail address registered for an account and another copy of the message is sent to the Crew List Inbox which is part of every account. All messages are accessable after logging in to your account.

The "new"-icon behind an entry now indicates that the respective entry has been added to the crewlist within the last 30 days. The icons are also visible on the "who was aboard when I was" lists available in the user accounts.
